US Pathologist, Dr. Michael Lynch, from the Medical and Scientific Affairs (MSA) department for Roche Tissue Diagnostics discusses the tumor microenvironment, the cancer immunity cycle, the immune checkpoint system, and the role that PD-L1 plays in the immune checkpoint system.

This video is designed as an overview so that you can understand the function and role that PD-L1 plays in tumor biology. The video concludes by briefly demonstrating the patterns of staining that can be seen with the SP142 IHC assay showing both the H&E stain and the IHC stain.
